We got safely home! Her first purr was at 3:30... She's been purring a little and rubbing her face on us, letting us massage her ears, and even kneading her paws and chirping at us a little. And watching the mice.
You asked if I had fallen in love with her yet--I fell in love with her on the drive home. I took her out of the carrier right away and held her, misting her with water because of the heat. She was grateful for the water, and after awhile I suddenly felt something special between us, like we recognized each other.
She's getting prettier and prettier to me, she makes me want to clean up my house, as she is radiant and the rest of the place needs to be, too!
Thanks so much... I said I wanted her as a friend, and I feel that she'll be exactly that. I'll keep you posted.
