Encore Triumph voted in as the On Safari 2007 Breeders Choice Award Best Adult Marble Bengal
June 9, 2007: This was Triumph's 1st show, and he came home with 7 finals! Wow, what a start to a great show career!- Aug. 18 - 19, 2007: was held at The New Culture Club (MP Regional) in Portland, OR. where we received 2 Regional Winnings awards for SGC Gogees Calypso of Encore at the Regional Awards banquet. It was also Encore Triumph's last kitten class. He did very well, taking a final, and a number of firsts in color, division and in breed.
- Sept. 28 - 30, 2007: This was Triumph's 1st adult show, as we joined many other Bengal enthusiasts at the annual On Safari event in Maumee, OH hosted by Glass CiTICAts. It was a tough show, competing with the top Bengals from around the world, and Triumph did us proud! He was only 8 months and 2 days old and in his first ring Jeff Roberts gave him is first final and made him a champion (Ch)! Thanks Jeff, we are delighted! Triumph also won the On Safari 2007 Breeders' Choice Award: Best Adult Marble Bengal. Wow... how cool is that! And, thanks everyone for your vote of approval. That makes it a very special winning!
- Oct. 12 - 14, 2007: it was fun to be back in our old stomping ground in Sacramento, CA for the Jazzy Cats show. It was Encore Triumph's 2nd adult show, and with more than the required finals, Triumph finished the show as a Grand Champion (GC)! Wow!
- Oct. 20 - 21, 2007: Back on our new hometown region, we had a blast at the The Evergreen Cat Fanciers in Seattle WA. It was fun, the company was pleasant, and Triumph did us proud again, this time earning enough points to be a Double Grand Champion (DGC)!

We were having so much fun with our family, friends, and kitties, we kinda lost track of the points Triumph earned and his title status <blush-blush>. So, we are not exactly sure where and when Triumph actually earned the titles, but he was definitely earning more points than that we were recording. So, it was a complete shock when we received notice from TICA that Triumph was a Triple Grand Champion (TGC), and this happened *before* the Nov. 9th show! Wow! And, he was only missing a few points for his Quadruple Grand Championship title! Absolutely incredible! - Nov. 9 - 11, 2007: It was a last minute decision to take a vacation day (the kids had a couple days off from school). So, we packed up and headed north! It was an awesome winning weekend, where Triumph earned the most points ever. He now had enough finals and points to be a Quadruple Grand Champion (QGC)!
- Dec 8 - 9: It was a busy holiday, and frankly too busy. We were happy to be back in Seattle for the wonderful show. Triumph did well, but we almost left early on the last day because I was on-call for work, and things we just hectic, busy and crazy. Jamie decided to stay and see if he would place, and I went down and brought the car up to the loading zone. Sure enough, Triumph's number was placed as one of the final winners. That meant he won a show final somewhere between 1 and 10! She took him to the rign, while I waited ... and waited. I figured it would take them a little a while. Back inside, Jamie was watching. As the each cat was given a final before Triumph, that meant his final winning would be higher. That was good... maybe even very, very good! Finally, she came out with Triumph, and proceeded tell me about this most anxious and stressful event she just went through! As all the other cats kept placing in front of him, it meant he was that much closer to getting a Best of Cat! Finally it was down to just him and one other cat! Who would get 2nd Best and who would get Best? And, as fate would have it, triumph received his Best of Cat with Jamie's nerves of excitement and me sitting out in the car waiting. Since Triumph was already a Quadruple Grand Champion, it meant that this was the Best of Cat that Triumph needed to go toward his Supreme Grand Champion title.
- Jan 12 - 13: We were back in the Seattle, unsure where Triumph stood on his winnings, but having fun just the same! Triumph won 4 more finals including another Best of Cat, and a special "Judges Favorite" award from Rita Wiseman, a judge visiting from South Africa. It was a special event! After this show, there is no doubt on points, Triumph is now a Supreme Grand Champion!
We did not expect Triumph to earn this title to so quickly, and we have already entered and paid for at least 2 more show. Since this is the highest title a cat can win, we are not sure if we will keep showing him (for the fun of earning points), or if we will pull him from the remainder shows. We've also paid for Reign of Fire's entries, and since we'll be there anyway, we may go ahead and take Triumph. I guess we've got time to decide... so, we'll see! Nonetheless, we are proud of Triumph and look forward to the Supremes he will produce for Encore! |
